Welcome to The Daily Drive, the podcast that helps gym owners achieve explosive growth in just 5 minutes a day! I'm Laura Alvarado, and in this episode, I'm going to share a strategy for poaching the best trainers in your city, even if they're not actively looking for a job.
As a gym owner, you know how stressful it can be to try to find the right trainer for your business esp if you are short staffed. Simply throwing up an ad may not yield the best results, as the most talented trainers are often already employed and not actively seeking new opportunities.
That's where poaching comes in. By using targeted outreach and personal networking, you can identify and approach top trainers in your area and convince them to join your team. This can help you attract the best talent in your city and give your gym a competitive edge.
And if you want to learn more about how to build a bulletproof hiring system and find the right candidates for your gym, be sure to check out my full-length training inside my Facebook community for gym owners here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/gymleadconverter

Welcome to The Daily Drive, the podcast that helps gym owners achieve explosive growth in just 5 minutes a day! I'm Laura Alvarado, and in this episode, I'm going to share a fun and effective strategy for boosting your gym's visibility and engagement on social media, as well as reaching out to new clients.
The strategy is to pick five of your clients to take a picture with on their phone and then DM them with a simple request: "Do me a favor, post this picture on social media and tag me in it, will ya?" This can help you reach a wider audience and increase your gym's brand awareness, as well as promote positive word-of-mouth marketing from your satisfied clients.
But don't stop there. Once your clients post their selfies on social media, be sure to engage with anyone who likes or comments on the posts, and reach out to them with a friendly message, thanking them for their engagement and inviting them to come try out your gym. This can be a great way to generate new leads and bring in new clients, while also strengthening your relationships with your existing clients.
And after you send your DMs today, do me a favor and share this podcast with your friends on social media. It's a great way to help others discover the tips and strategies that can help them grow their gyms and achieve their goals.

The 5-Client Referral Challenge
Sunday Apr 09, 2023
Sunday Apr 09, 2023
Welcome to The Daily Drive, the podcast that helps gym owners achieve explosive growth in just 5 minutes a day! I'm Laura Alvarado, and in this episode, I'm going to share a simple but powerful strategy for generating more referrals for your gym.
The strategy is to be intentional about asking for referrals, and not to wait for them to come to you. One effective way to do this is to ask five of your best clients for referrals every week. By making this a regular part of your routine, you can build a steady stream of new clients and grow your gym more quickly.
But before you ask for referrals, complement your client first, and then ask for referrals. This shows that you appreciate and value their business, and increases the likelihood that they will refer others to you.
In this episode, I'll share some specific tips and strategies for asking for referrals, including how to:
Identify the right clients to ask for referrals
Complement your clients in a genuine and meaningful way
Ask for referrals in a clear and concise manner
Follow up with clients after they've referred others to you
And if you're enjoying this podcast and finding value in the content, I would love for you to leave a review and let me know what you think. Your feedback helps me to continue creating episodes that are helpful and relevant to your needs.

The Secret to Better Follow-Up Messages: Why You Should Text Like a Preteen Girl
Saturday Apr 08, 2023
Saturday Apr 08, 2023
Welcome to The Daily Drive, the podcast that helps gym owners achieve explosive growth in just 5 minutes a day! I'm Laura Alvarado, and in this episode, I'm going to share a simple but powerful strategy for improving your follow-up messages and getting better responses from prospects.
The strategy is to text like a preteen girl - that is, to break your messages into bite-sized chunks that are easy to read and understand. Unlike your mom's text messages, which may be long and detailed, a preteen girl's messages are typically short and sweet, with one thought or question per message.
By texting in this way, you make it easier for your prospects to skim your messages and understand what you want from them. You also increase the likelihood that they will actually read and reply to your messages, rather than ignoring them because they seem like too much work.
In this episode, I'll share some specific tips and tricks for texting like a preteen girl, including how to:
Break your messages into short, standalone thoughts or questions
Use emojis and other visual elements to add emphasis and personality to your messages
Avoid overwhelming your prospects with too much information or too many questions at once
And if you're interested in learning more about how to improve your follow-up messages and avoid costly mistakes with your leads, be sure to check out my full-length training, available inside my free Facebook community for gym owners https://www.facebook.com/groups/gymleadconverter

Welcome to The Daily Drive, the podcast that helps gym owners achieve explosive growth in just 5 minutes a day! I'm Laura Alvarado, and in this episode, I'm going to share a super-simple, swipe reactivation play that can help you easily get old members back or reengage trials who didn't convert.
The Reactivation Bomb is a four-step process that can help you reactivate old members and trials who may have fallen off your radar. Here's how it works:
Make a list of all the members or trials who haven't been active in the past 90 days or more.
Finalize an offer that's irresistible to these members or trials.
Edit the scripts that you'll use to contact them, whether it's through email, phone, or social media.
Set a daily target for your team to contact a certain number of inactive members or trials using the Reactivation Bomb.
By following these simple steps, you can quickly bring old members and trials back to your gym and give them a reason to return.
And best of all, I've put together a full set of scripts and instructions that you can use to implement the Reactivation Play in your own gym. You can find them in my free Facebook community for gym owners here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/gymleadconverter
So, are you ready to reactivate old members and trials and boost your gym's revenue? Then tune in to this episode of The Daily Drive! And if you're loving the content you're getting from this show, be sure to subscribe for more daily tips and strategies for scaling your gym.

Welcome to The Daily Drive, the podcast that gives gym owners the tools they need to build thriving businesses in the fitness industry! I'm Laura Alvarado, and in this episode, I'm going to tackle one of the biggest questions that gym owners face: how much should you pay your coaches or charge for your sessions?
The truth is, anyone who gives you a one-size-fits-all answer to this question is giving you bad advice. The amount you should pay your coaches or charge for your sessions should be based on your unique business, your costs, and what your market can support.
In this episode, I'll walk you through how to make data-driven decisions about your payroll and session pricing that will help you increase profits. We'll explore questions like:
How much can you afford to pay your coaches while still maintaining your profit margin?
Are you charging enough for your sessions based on the value you provide and what your market can support?
How many sessions can you afford to offer with the clients you currently have?
By taking a data-driven approach to these questions, you can make informed decisions that are based on your specific business needs, rather than relying on advice from others who may not be up-to-speed on your unique situation.
And to help you make these decisions, I've created a profit maker payroll and session calculator that you can use to crunch the numbers and make informed decisions about your business. You can find the link to the tool and accompanying training video my free Facebook community for gym owners at https://www.facebook.com/groups/gymleadconverter.
So, are you ready to take your business to the next level by making data-driven decisions about your payroll and session pricing? Then tune in to this episode of The Daily Drive!
